Kendrick Lamar

Just a cool cut off the recent release
OD: Overly Dedicated entitled "Growing Apart" featuring Jhene Aiko.

KL does it again, although switching up on the style of track that he normally does.
This track allows one to ponder upon issues that need be pondered upon.
It's almost intoxicating as the songstress Jhene Aiko caresses your mind with her smooth angelic vocals.
Makes me anticipate a new release from her as well. Glad to see that she's back on her grind after
the T.U.G. mess & being a new Mother. Kudos to her.

If you haven't downloaded Kendricks latest album Overly Dedicated,
please do so on iTunes for only $5.99
Well worth your money and we gotta support our own.

Until next time L.A...,  "Just Be Cool"

Dom Kennedy

Dom Kennedy.
I know that you've heard the name before. You probably heard a friend say his name or heard about him via our many facets of social networking. Maybe you're a junkie for his music like myself. Here's a lil' back ground on Dom. A young man from Leimert Park. If you're from L.A., you too know and love this neighborhood. He is one of us, that attended Audubon Middle, went after school to the Crenshaw mall to check out all the fly ass girls. Dropped by Earle's Grill to grab a Chili Cheeseburger and some Playa's Punch. Getting a fresh cut from Magic Shears or New Millenium when they 1st opened up. All of this he gives you in his music. He's personifies a true young Los Angeleno on his way up to better in life. His latest release is his 4th mixtape entitled "From The Westside With Love" is truely what we've been waiting for. As a fly young person tryna make it in this world I find myself relating to him on so many levels! Dom is a top of his class. When you observe all of the super talent emerging out of L.A. like Kendrick Lamar, Nipsey Hussle, Overdoz, Pac Div, Skeme, Scotch Davis, & Terrance Martin Dom sets the bar higher than most would expect it to be. Please trust me when I tell you folks that this man is about to make his stamp on the game and represent Los Angeles in a BIG way.
Check out his website to download any and all of his 4 mixtapes, for info, shows, media, and much more @ www.dopeitsdom.com

For now until next time Los Angeles, "Just be cool."

Choose Up.

Man, i didn't really know how i would start my first post, but today has been a pretty eventful day today. I consider myself to be a good guy. A square almost if you will. Certain harsh realities i rather not deal with or face. When i say harsh realities, i speak of the way other people live. I cant be a drug dealer, a thug, or a pimp. It's just not in my nature. I couldn't imagine what people go through as to why they would even have to resort to such but today i was the audience to a full on soap opera. Someone i wouldn't have ever expected to be in such a situation was. It was love that baited them into the situation. The significant other was totally pulling the strings. The sig other totally had the lover right where they wanted them. It was a sad reality. Good thing the lover was able to snap out of it! We gotta stop abusing each other people. Say whats real. "Just be cool."
